Old Business: Road Conditions – Grant Beckfield, a resident on Waupun Road, spoke for numerous homes in this area in regard to the condition of Ripple and Waupun Roads. They feel the heavy truck traffic to construct the perimeter fence around the airport has caused the roads to break down and have large pot holes in them. It limits ease of transportation for current residents. They would like to see the town negotiate with EAA and the County to aid in reconstructing Ripple Road. They have contacted Peter Moll, the Airport Director, in regard to the roads. He denies using them. The Town Board feels that a meeting with all parties involved should be held to see what can be done to fix this problem. Residents questioned the mobile homes that are being placed and left all year on EAA grounds. Residents also questioned that if the mobile homes are not lived in all year round, can they just remain there. They felt that if they tried to sell their homes, this would not be a good selling point and that their assessments should be lowered so they could pay fewer taxes. The board will contact the Planning and Zoning department to see if zoning allows for them to be kept on this property. Repairs to South Clay Road between Fisk and Ripple will be done this summer. Gravel was delivered for repairs to Old Knapp Road, should be completed within a few days. The board felt that the ditch mowing was not up to par compared to previous years. Residents questioned brush by driveways on Ripple Road. Chairman reported that it should be cut back 33 feet. Residents inquired who is responsible for paying for roads as properties are annexed in to the city. New Business: John McBrair reported this year was the first year in 30 years that the Fire Department was required to purchase a Health Permit for their Annual Mud Run. They passed inspection with flying colors and the Public Health Inspector felt the Fire Department should give lessons on how to set up a kitchen. Schweda moved to adjourn the meeting. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 3-0 Respectfully Submitted, Julie Barthels, Clerk
