Town of Nekimi Monthly Board Meeting January 21, 2013 Present: Glen Barthels, Tom Pollack, Jessica Potratz and Julie Barthels. Excused: Larry Schweda The meeting was called to order by Chairman Barthels at 7:30 p.m. Pollack moved to approve December minutes. 2nd by Barthels. Carried 2-0. Treasurer’s report was given. Zoning: Steve Moorhead with Barr, Inc. requested a variance to exceed the maximum sign area allowed for an On-Premise Business Sign. Barthels moved to grant the variance to the proposed maximum of 298 square feet in size for the sign at Barr, Inc. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 2-0. Pollack moved to pay all December bills plus the IRS bill. 2nd by Barthels. Carried 2-0. Road Conditions: Questioned if the new portion of Poberezny Road was being salted. New Business: Computer: Barthels moved to allow the Town Clerk to purchase a new laptop and software. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 2-0. Rural Program Fares: A concerned citizen approached the board in regard to rural program fares for the Town of Nekimi. The Board wishes to clarify with Rural Program Fares as to the number of rides allowed. The Clerk presented correspondence regarding bridges; WPS tree cutting in Township; Charter Services; and AT&T tower repair. Motion by Barthels to adjourn the meeting. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 2-0.
