Nekimi Town Board Minutes August 20, 2012 Present: Glen Barthels, Larry Schweda, Tom Pollack, Jessica Potratz & Julie Barthels. Meeting was called to order by Barthels at 7:30 pm. Schweda moved to approve the July minutes, 2nd Pollack. Carried 3-0. Treasurer’s Report was given. Zoning: No Zoning for the month of August. Schweda moved to pay July bills, 2nd by Barthels. Carried 3 -0. Road Conditions: Four culverts in the Town have been replaced by Mike Rabe. The County will be repairing the roads where the culverts were placed. The board feels that there are many more culverts that will need to be replaced in the near future. The board is still questioning the maintenance of Old Knapp Road. Fahrner’s will be trying a new procedure for about 200 feet in front of Circle R Campground to see if that is beneficial. Chairman Barthels talked to Bill Demler from the Highway Department in regard to tree trimming along the roads in the Town. The board will provide him with a list of the spots that need trimming. New Business: Authorization Approval of Promissory Notes – Barthels moved to approve the action drawn up by John St. Peter to be able to authorize approval of promissory notes totaling $300,000.00 for Poberezny Road. 2 nd by Schweda. Carried 3 -0. Wright Tree Service – Wright Tree Service sent a letter to the board inquiring about any ordinances regarding tree cutting in the Town. The Town does not have any ordinances in regard to tree cutting, therefore feels we have no need to sign their letter. Budget Items – Please notify the Town Clerk of any Budget Items that are needed. A representative from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department inquired about any problems in the Township. Pollack moved to adjourn, 2nd by Schweda. Carried 3-0.
