PLYMOUTH PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING MINUTES July 6, 2026 Meeting was called to order by M. Kaczkowski at 6:30 pm. Present were: M. Kaczkowski, S. Britt, S. Gloede, A. Matzdorf, M. Douville and K. Kraemer. Absent were: B. McKnight and M. Hummitzsch. Also present: Library Director L. Jochman There was no public comment or correspondence. Motion by S. Britt, second by S. Gloede to approve the minutes of the June 1, 2026 meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by M. Douville, second by K. Kraemer to approve the financial report for June 2026 Expenses. Motion passed unanimously. Director L. Jochman reviewed some highlighted items in the Director’s monthly report. This included an update on the Committee of the Whole presentation, Budget 2027, 2027 Capital Improvements, the elevator phone, and more. Unfinished Business Director L. Jochman had no further update on the Ad Hoc Repair, Renovation and Expansion Committee. A board member asked how much the projected cost for the project will be for each taxpayer. Total cost will change depending upon fundraising and construction costs but the most recent figure projected was $12.00/year for 20 years. This number will change depending upon fundraising and other overhead costs such as temporary location and architect fees. New Business Director L. Jochman presented a revision to the Collection Development Policy to address AI-generated content. Motion by S. Gloede to approve the revision as written, second by M. Douville. Motion passed unanimously. Director L. Jochman requested the board approve some funding for a staff picnic or holiday party as they had in the past. Motion by S. Britt to approve spending up to $150.00 out of the unrestricted donation fund, second by K. Kraemer. Motion passed unanimously. Announcements Director L. Jochman announced the next meeting for August 3 and reminded the group that the September meeting is September 14 due to the Labor Day holiday. Motion by K. Kraemer, second by S. Britt to adjourn.
