Finance Committee — Minutes

Village of Kohler Finance Committee Meeting September 21, 2026 Chairperson John Ewert called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken. John Ewert, Tracy Lyons and Laurie Lindow were present. Staff members present: Chad Gross, Shawn Splivalo and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from August 17, 2026 – Motion by John Ewert, second by Tracy Lyons to approve the meeting minutes from August 17, 2026. Motion carried. Business 1. Review and Approve August Claims Lists – Motion by John Ewert, second by Tracy Lyons to approve the August claims lists. Motion carried. 2. Review and Recommend Approval of: a. August 2026 Revenue and Expense Reports, Bank Reconciliation, and Journal Entries – Motion by John Ewert, second by Tracy Lyons to approve the August 2026 revenue and expense reports, bank reconciliation, and journal entries. Motion carried. b. 2027 Police Department Budget and Capital Outlay – Shawn presented the budget. Motion by John Ewert, second by Tracy Lyons to recommend the Village Board approve the 2027 Police Department Budget and Capital Outlay – Motion carried. 3. Police Department Update – Shawn informed the committee that the school drop off and pickup is going well this year with the changes that the school implemented.
