NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING Village of Kohler 2026 Board of Review Date: Thursday, July 30, 2026 Location: Kohler Village Hall, 319 Highland Drive, Kohler, Wisconsin 53044 Time: 5:00 pm 1. Call the 2026 Board of Review to order and announce the meeting is being recorded 2. Roll call and confirm appropriate Board of Review and Open Meetings notices 3. Verify the member(s) that have met the mandatory training requirements 4. Verity Village confidentiality of income and expense Ordinance, Municipal Code Book Section 2.10.020 5. Review new laws 6. Adopt amendment to policy regarding procedure for sworn telephone testimony and sworn written testimony 7. Adopt policy regarding procedure for waiver of Board of Review hearing requests. 8. Review the Assessor’s level of assessment 9. Receive the 2026 Assessment Roll and sworn statements 10. Review the Assessment Roll and perform statutory duties: a. Examine the roll b. Correct description or calculation errors c. Add omitted property d. Eliminate double-assessed property 11. Discuss and take action to certify all correction(s) of any error(s), under State Law (Wis. Stat. §70.43) 12. Discuss and take action to verify open-book changes are included in the Assessment Roll 13. Allow taxpayers to examine assessment data 14. During the first two hours, consideration of: a. Waivers of the required 48-hour notice of intent to file an objection when there is good cause b. Requests for waiver of the Board of Review hearing allowing the property owner an appeal directly to Circuit Court c. Requests to testify by telephone or submit a sworn written statement d. Subpoena requests e. Act on any other legally allowed or required Board of Review matters 15. Review Notices of Intent to File Objection 16. Proceed to hear objections, if any, and if proper notice/waivers given unless scheduled for another date 17. Consider and take action on scheduling additional Board of Review Date(s) 18.
