Holiday Closure ADJOURNMENT Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate disabled individuals through appropriate aids and services. For additional information, contact the City Clerk at 920-324-7915. LIBRARY MONTHLY REPORT September 2026 Subject Summary Budget, Programming & Statistics September 2026 program schedule, budget summary through August 31 and statistics through August 31 are included for your information. Martin Systems Camera Progress Martin Systems requires a 50% down payment, which is included in this month’s bills. Tentative installation dates are November 18-20. Adventure Passes Milwaukee Zoo passes are ready for checkout. Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin State Park passes are on their way. Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac will send the pass once they receive payment. The invoice for the Children’s Museum pass is in this month’s bills. Elevator Elevator engineering is still in progress. I have not heard a timeline yet for completion of engineering and start of installation. Installation target is sometime in 2027. Carpeting/Moving/Security Panels I have requests out for quotes to replace some/most of the carpet on the first floor. Shaler, Hillyer, Carnegie, and Director’s office/hallway spaces are not in need of replacement; children’s area carpeting has also recently been replaced; the rest of the first floor carpeting is around 29 years old. We may also wish to address the tiling in the back work room. Some of the tiles have repeatedly been pushed up/broken by the cement floor shifting/buckling, and have been replaced twice. Carpeting may be a better alternative there. We will also have to investigate options to move our shelving/materials/desks when this is being completed. When we replaced the children’s area carpet, we hired Yerges, resulting in reduced time the collections were disturbed. I have requests for quotes out for this. Our security panels are also in the area where carpeting will likely be replaced. These panels are also 29 years old, and have been repaired several times. Replacement of those may also make sense at this time. If patrons do not return items, or do not pay for damaged items, and the account balance exceeds $50, patrons may be sent to a collection agency and a $25 fee applied to their account. Current procedure includes mailing a paper notice of lost/damaged items to the patron with a warning of submission to the collection agency if their account exceeds $50. Typically, accounts will automatically be sent to Unique Management approximately 2 weeks after a patron’s account exceeds the $50 threshold. I have included reports received from Unique Management to include their timeline of patron contact, cumulative recovery since 1999, and recovery from the last 12 months.
