TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY WORKSHOP MEETING APRIL 8, 2025 5:30 PM The Workshop Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Montsma. Present were Chairman Montsma, Supervisors Aaron Kuhls on ZOOM, Jessica Allender, Jennifer Janeczko, and David Washkoviak, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Brenda Post and Ariana Schmidt from Ehlers & Associates. Confirmation was made of open meeting notice. Ms. Schmidt gave a presentation of the TIF districts pros and cons and the Town’s ability to become involved. A pamphlet was provided with the information. Ms. Schmidt stayed on for the Water Utility upgrades and the proposed water rates from the Village of North Fond du Lac. Ehlers will be involved in the potential need to increase tax rates to cover costs. The Village plans to upgrade the rates over the next two years. The Water Tower will need to be painted soon. The cost is estimated at $87,000.00. Mitch Kahl contacted the Chairman about the detention pond on his property. At this time, the Town has no plans to help with the upgrades. Doug Hoerth from Final Look inspections is interested in becoming the Permit Issuer/Inspector for the Town. The permit fees would remain the same, but his fees are different. A payraise for the DPW supervisor was discussed. There being no more discussion, motion was made and seconded to adjourn. Motion carried. Submitted by Patti Supple, Town Clerk
