TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY BUDGET WORKSHOP OCTOBER 16, 2024 4:45 PM The Budget Workshop was called to order by Chairman Jeff Montsma. Present were Chairman Montsma, Supervisors Aaron Kuhls, Jessica Allender, Jennifer Janeczko, and David Washkoviak, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Brenda Post and Fire Chief Dean Birschbach. Confirmation was made of open meeting notice. Fire Chief Dean presented the information on the Fire Department budget. Als under discussion was the radio upgrade at a cost of $160,000.00. The engine at Station 2 is a 2-person cab and needs to be upgraded to allow more room. The recommendation was to check into a used vehicle. The 2015 engine will need to be replaced next. Also, the garage doors and openers will need replacement. There is discussion to expand the water system on the west side to eliminate the dead ends and create loops. This will need more discussion once the initial loan is paid off. It was also noted the Fire Inspector is retiring in 2025 and will need to be replaced. The budget paperwork was reviewed. The Budget Hearing is scheduled for November 11 at 6:00 pm. There being no more business, motion was made and seconded to adjourn. Motion carried. Submitted by Patti Supple, Town Clerk
