JOHNSBURG SANITARY DISTRICT MONTHLY COMMISSION MEETING FEBRUARY 5, 2026 5:00 P.M. TOMMY J’s BAR, JOHNSBURG Members present: President Franz Schmitz and Commissioners Ken Schneider and Jason Meyer . Also present: Recording Secretary Brenda Schneider ; Shaun Andrew , Rural Mutual Insurance Co .; Jolene Meyer , and Joyce Schneider. 1. Call to order. President Schmitz called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. 2. Annual review of insurance coverage with Shaun Andrew, Rural Mutual Insurance Co . The District’s policy renewed on February 4th. The policy has a $1,000 deductible. The equipment breakdown coverage deductible is also $1,000. There is an inflation guard of 7%. District should research replacement costs to determine accuracy of coverage. 3. Approval of the minutes of the 1/8/2026 meeting. Motion by Ken Schneider, second by Jason Meyer, to approve the minutes of the meeting held on January 8, 2026. Motion carried (3-0). 4. Discussion and possible action regarding operational issues: a. Meter station. Nothing to report at this time. b. Lift Stations. The January pump runtime reports were reviewed. The system at the Malone station has been sending variance reports for the past week or two. Joel Schneider reset the station earlier today. If variance do not stop with the reset, further investigation may be needed. c. Grinder pump stations. Joel Schneider recently placed a padlock on the station at the former Welter property. d. Other operational issues. Nothing to report at this time. 5. Consideration and possible acceptance of a quote for sewer main cleaning and televising. A Request for Proposal was submitted to three contractors to clean and televise the follow segments of sanitary sewer main: • Johnsburg Road – Cty W west to end – manhole 03-21 to manhole 03-25 est. 1,412 feet • Mengel Hill Road – Johnsburg Rd south to end – manhole 03-10 to manhole 03-75 est. 2,431 feet • Johnsburg Road – Schumacher Rd west to meter station – manhole 03-20 est. 3,389 feet • Schumacher Road – Johnsburg Rd north to end – manhole 03-20 to manhole 03-74 est. 693 feet • Meyer Court – Johnsburg Rd south to end – manhole 03-9 to unknown manhole no. est. 1,109 feet est. 9,034 feet Proposals are due February 13th. The matter will be considered during the March meeting. 6. Approval of District bills. Motion by Ken Schneider, second by Jason Meyer, to approve the bills (order #6-12), for a total of $9,212.99, and to approve the following: • Transfer $9,200.00 from the Operations/User Charge Account to the regular checking account, Motion carried (3-0). 7. Consideration and possible action pertaining to a maturing investment. Motion by Jason Meyer, second by Ken Schneider, to reinvest the CD, plus the accrued interest, with Bristol Morgan for a period of 37 months at a rate of 3.85%. Motion carried (3-0). 8. Schedule the next meeting. The next monthly meeting of the Commission is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 2nd, at 5:00 pm, at St. John the Baptist Parish Office. February 5, 2026 Page 2 9.
