Regular Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Belvidere RESCHEDULED REGULAR MEETING February 15, 2024, 7:03 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the Regular Town meeting to order. Chairman Ron Speltz and Supervisor Lee Engfer present and one resident present. Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak appeared via phone. The meeting notice was published in the Buffalo County News and the full agenda posted per WI Statutes 19.84 on February 8, 2024. A Motion by Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak was made to approve the Minutes as provided to board members in lieu of reading out loud. Supervisor Lee Engfer seconded the motion. Carried. Treasurer Barbara Brommer gave the Treasurer’s report and Investment Summary. Balance on hand as of tonight is $131,409.17 in the General Checking Account. Barb noted that two CDs area up for renewal at the Bank of Alma. She is waiting to hear back about the current renewal rates & terms. Barb will email to the Board all bank quotes for the best renewal rate & term. Ron Kaz made a Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Lee seconded the Motion. Carried. The Clerk presented the bills for payment. A motion was made by Lee and seconded by Ron Kaz to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried. ROADS: Chairman Speltz reported that he has received no snow plowing complaints. The winter has only had a few snow events and mostly sanding was needed. Lee attended the Dairyland Power Alma-Blair proposed Transmission Project open house. The project would not affect any township roads or properties. It was also noted that TDS has not give any update of the proposed fiber update for the northern residents of the town. Tri-Community Fire Department isn’t planning any equipment replacements for some time. The Pumper Truck might be the next to be replaced. The next regular scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 7 pm. At 7:25 pm Lee made a motion to adjourn with Ron Kaz seconding. Motion carried.
