Regular Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Belvidere REGULAR MEETING November 14, 2023, 7:03 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the Regular Town meeting to order with Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak present. Supervisor Lee Engfer absent. The meeting notice was published in the Buffalo County News and the full agenda posted per WI Statutes 19.84 on November 10, 2023. A Motion by Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak was made to approve the Minutes as provided to board members in lieu of reading out loud. Chairman Speltz seconded the motion. Carried. Treasurer Barbara Brommer gave the Treasurer’s report and Investment Summary. Balance on hand as of tonight is $181,429.07 in the General Checking Account. Barb reported on new rates for the CAPX2020 CD renewal. Since the Bank of Alma was willing to match a competitor higher rate it was decided to renew with the Bank of Alma for 1 year @ 5.25%. Ron Kaz made a Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Ron Speltz seconded the Motion. Carried. The Clerk presented the bills for payment. A motion was made by Ron Kaz and seconded by Ron Speltz to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Supervisor Ron Kaz made a Motion to approve the Line Item 2024 Budget published. Ron Speltz seconded – Motion carried. Chairman Speltz reviewed the Driveway Application submitted and paid from Chandlar Engler. It was noted no culvert is needed. Chairman Speltz made a Motion to approve with Ron Kaz seconding. Motion carried. ROAD UPDATES: Chairman Speltz reported that fall grading was finished last week. He noted that due to the drought most gravel roads didn’t require fall grading since packed hard. Fall roadside mowing has started by Duellman. Monarch Paving is hoping to finish the Foegen Road Railroad Crossing 2022 project yet this week. Ron reported that the dock has been removed for winter last week. No Public comment. The next regular scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 7 pm. At 7:22 pm Ron Kaz made a motion to adjourn with Ron Speltz seconding. Motion carried.
