Regular Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Belvidere REGULAR MEETING December 13, 2022, 7:00 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the meeting to order. Supervisor Lee Engfer absent but called in via phone at 7:16 pm. The meeting notice was published in the Buffalo County News and the full agenda posted per WI Statutes 19.84 on December 9, 2022. A Motion by Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak was made to approve the Minutes as provided to board members in lieu of reading out loud. Supervisor Ron speltz seconded the motion. Carried. Treasurer Barbara Brommer gave the Treasurer’s report and Investment Summary. Balance on hand as of tonight is $171,680.16 in the General Checking Account. The Board directed Barb to contact local Banks for better rates & terms for $100,00 Annuity with Farm Bureau. Ron Kaz made a Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Ron Speltz seconded the Motion. Carried. The Clerk presented the bills for payment. A motion was made by Lee Engfer and seconded by Ron Kaz to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Ron Olson mailed the 2023 SVEMS Contract for signing by the Town. On-call pay will continue as last year. Population and percentage of charges were corrected and initialed. Ron Kaz made a Motion to sign with corrections. Lee seconded the Motion. Carried. ROADS: Chairman Speltz reported that Reglin Excavating has completed the shouldering on Rose Valley Bid Project. Prairie Moon Road was also shouldering where needed. The Board requested the Prairie Moon Road bill received be amended with details. The Clerk will contact to request amended bill and pay after receiving. Ron received an estimate for 2023 possible Schlawin Road blacktopping project from Monarch Construction in the amount of $213,000. (1.57 miles x 18 ft wide). It was noted that Sendelbach was called out during deer hunting weekend due to snow drifting on the bluff town roads. It was noted that County Road “O” is also very slippery with new blacktopping. BBC&M Recycling: Ron Kaz reported that the Village of Cochrane will be meeting on December 22nd to discuss and act on the Re-Zoning of the tax parcels annexed from the Town of Belvidere for the BBC&M recycling center. Jeannie & Ron Kaz will coordinate finalization before year end if approved by the Village. The Town Board set the 2023 CAUCUS for Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 7 PM. The next regular scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, January 17, 2023 following the 7 PM 2023 CAUCUS. At 7:42PM Ron Kaz made a motion to adjourn with Lee seconding. Motion carried.
