Regular Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Belvidere REGULAR MEETING November 14, 2022, 7:15 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the Regular meeting to order. All Board members present. The meeting notice was published in the Buffalo County News with the Budget Hearing notice and the full agenda posted per WI Statutes 19.84 on November 11, 2022. A Motion by Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak was made to approve the Minutes as provided to board members in lieu of reading out loud. Supervisor Lee Engfer seconded the motion. Carried. Treasurer Barbara Brommer gave the Treasurer’s report and Investment Summary. Balance on hand as of tonight is $181,241.88 in the General Checking Account. Lee made a Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Ron Kaz seconded the Motion. Carried. Rural Mutual has been contacted in regards to the Cemetery Annuity rate. The Clerk presented the bills for payment. A motion was made by Ron Kaz and seconded by Lee to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Proposed new BBC&M Contract with leasing the operation to Waste Transport effective January 1, 2023 was discussed by the Board. After review Ron Kaz made a Motion to approve with Lee seconding. Carried. Ron Kaz made a Motion to approve all Line item 2023 Budget amounts with Lee seconding. Motion carried. The Board reviewed the 2022 SVEMS contract and on-call pay for Belvidere. It was noted that no apparent increase in volunteers was achieved with the on-call pay. ROADS: Chairman Speltz stated shouldering on Rose Valley bid project was delayed today due to the weather. This and also Prairie Moon shouldering will be completed soon by Reglin Excavating. Fall grading has been finished by Sendelbach Construction. Herman Road driveway correction for drainage will be completed soon by LaDuke. Lee will check into changing Town emails to a “.Gov” for security and report back next month. He reported that Buffalo County has recently completed for all county emails. The next regular scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 7 pm. At 7:55 pm Ron Kaz made a motion to adjourn with Lee seconding. Motion carried.
