Public Works / Streets / Recycling CommiƩee August 26, 2025 – 5:45 Minutes prepared by: Peter Schaīner The meeƟng was called to order at 5:45 pm by Peter Schaīner. Roll call: Peter Schaīner Barb Schmidtknecht, Absent David Endres. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank, Gill Adams. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. MoƟon Barb, second Peter to approve the minutes of the July 21, 2025, meeƟng. MoƟon carried and the minutes were approved. ConsideraƟon for portable speed bumps. Will add a budget line for possible purchase. 2026 project planning conƟnues with the following list to date: Road work Chip Seal Wagner Road, add to budget. Main Street Dain Repairs, get esƟmate. Purchase new F550, add to budget. New well, we will meet with Davy Engineering for more informaƟon. Replace water meter as well, add to budget. Generator at liŌ staƟon/ well, gather more informaƟon. Sport court (basketball court at park), work with park and rec commiƩee Repair water runs oī on main street from artesian well near Cat Tails. Gil will meet with homeowner. Sand Hauling fees, gather informaƟon do we need an ordinance or can this be done with a resoluƟon. Should we charge a per truck hauling fee or fee per amount of sand hauled. Discussion about abandoning Truman Street and JusƟn Hill Street. Will bring to council to see if there is support. MoƟon Peter, second Barb to send a recommendaƟon to council to approve buying a 2023 6120M Tractor with side arm mower from Tractor Central in Arcadia for $173,600. MoƟon carried. MoƟon Barb, second Peter to adjourn, MoƟon carried, and the meeƟng adjourned at 6:27 pm.
