Sept 8 2026 Park and Rec committee minutes

September 08, 2026 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE 9:00 a.m. City Hall 314 N Main St., Alma, WI Chairperson Davie Meier called the meeting to order with the following members present: Loren Mueller and Perry Iberg. Also present: Mayor Richard Champeny via Zoom and Clerk-Treasurer Sharaya Reed. Others present: Dennis Benish, Max Bennish, Chris Creighton all from Alma Marina, and Don Feedie from Feedie Well Drilling Agenda Item 1: Marian Well Don Feedie can do a test drill. There would only be a charge for whatever time it took. The committee discussed with Alma Marina representatives present. Motion by Iberg seconded by Mueller to approve the City to spend up to $2,000 to conduct a test drill. All members voting yes. Agenda Item 2: Pavillion at Beach Update Electrical estimate from Dan Elsenpeter is $4,500-$4,800 to put electric in the pavilion. Agenda Item 3: Rieck’s Lake Park Rip Rap Update Still working on how many loads it will take. Agenda Item 4: Budget for 2027 The committee is trying to figure out how to cut costs. Looking at other options for picnic tables. Foreman Wick will be needing a new skid steer to replace the one that is approaching it’s max hours of use. Agenda Item 5: Any other items properly brought before the committee None. Motion by Mueller seconded by Iberg to adjourn. All members voting yes.
