1 August 10, 2026 UTILITIES COMMITTEE 8:30 a.m. Chairperson Larry Grisen called the meeting to order at City Hall 314 N Main St, with the following members present: Randy Brommer and David Earney via Zoom. Also present: Mayor Richard Champeny via Zoom, Foreman Joe Wick, Calvin Loewenhagen, Bernie Bartz, and Clerk-Treasurer Sharaya Reed. Others present: Liz Walker and Eric Davidson with Bauman Associates via Zoom. Agenda Item 3: Citizen comments on posted agenda items None. Agenda Item 5: Water a. Pier 4 water leak adjustment Lize Walker was present for questions. The committee reviewed the application. The meter is to be tested and changed out. b. Nomad upgrade This is on for Council approval. Motion by Brommer seconded by Earney to table to next month’s meeting. All members voting yes. d. PSC Water rates update Eric Davidson from Bauman Associates updated the committee on the status of the PSC water rate increase. There will be a public hearing next month. e. Other water concerns Hydrant flushing is going on right now. Discussion over the water quality on 2nd St. Agenda Item 4: Sidewalks/Stairs/Retaining Walls a. Ibach retaining wall survey update Still waiting for the survey to be completed. b. Update for Phase 2 of retaining walls project work schedule 2 Foreman Wick let the committee know that the contractor is looking at fall. Agenda Item 7: Sewer and wastewater a. Chemical storage addition construction update The work is still in progress. b. Update on easement for repairs on Shiefel property Nothing new to report on. c. Lift Station #2 Pump repairs The pump will be coming. Agenda Item 6: Streets d. Skidsteer replacement Wick will be looking at options. Agenda Item 8: Citizen comments on non-posted agenda items None. Agenda Item 9: Next meeting-Wednesday, September 2, 2:00 PSC Hearing, Monday, September 14, 8:30 a.m. Regular meeting Motion by Brommer seconded by Grisen to adjourn. All members voting yes.
