January 13, 2026 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE 10:00 a.m. Chairperson Davie Meier called the meeting to order with the following members present: Loren Mueller and Perry Iberg by Zoom. Also present: Mayor Richard Champeny, Clerk-Treasurer Sharaya Reed, and Foreman Joe Wick. Agenda Item 1a: Annual report to Corps of Engineers. Deadline to submit is 4/15. Agenda Item 2a: Beach Pavillion. Reviewed estimate from Interstate Building Supply for $7,394.19 that does not include concrete. Meier to check on more estimates. Agenda Item 2b: Lawnmower. Joe told the committee it would be $16-17,000 for a new four wheel drive John Deere mower. Joe to look at more options. Agenda Item 2c: Picnic tables. Keep looking at options. Agenda Item 2d: Bathroom painting. Beach floors and walls to be done. Signs need to be ordered saying “Public Restrooms”. Agenda Item 2e: Any other beach concerns. The gazebo needs to be removed. It has seen its time of use. Agenda Item 3a: Buena Vista Park Porta Potty’s. Discussion over taking down existing building. Could keep as long as air flow is maintained. To look at it in another meeting. Motion by Mueller seconded by Iberg to adjourn. All members voting yes.
