spoke on behalf of the Flyway Trail Group about a mutual agreement for the

and the county have a better relationship now and hopes that will continue to grow. He
asked if an annual detailed report could be provided to the Flyway Trail Group for
services provided and associated costs. Mr. Engfer stated that would be possible. Arm
mowing of the vegetation on the water side of the roadway was agreed upon that cutting
would occur around 8 inches in height of vegetation. Spring sweeping of the trail was
discussed to be included in any agreement along with a plan to maintain the asphalt.
Regular mowing would occur as needed when the wayside areas were normally

Worker positions. Interview for the ESS will be getting scheduled, and we had some
issues with perspective EDDO’s not passing background checks.
County Administrator Report: Mr. Engfer reported on the modified hours check-in.
One department reported concerns from the public, and those people did not follow
through with the Administration Office. There was one other minor issue that is being
handled, otherwise staff and department heads feel that it is a success. It was learned
that liability insurance for the County Fair is no longer covered by the county. Mr. Engfer
is working with the fair to mitigate the issue. A possible yearly meeting was discussed. A
Highway Department vendor has had two companies file liens, and we verified all
payments are paid in full by the county. Janitorial services will be needed after an
upcoming retirement. It was decided that the county would try contracting services for a
year and re-evaluate. Issues with the UW-Extension contract were discussed. Mr.
Engfer also reported that the Humane Society is in compliance as much as possible.
