MEETING MINUTES
Town of Spider Lake
Plan and Review Commission Meeting
October 1, 2025
1. The meeting was called to Order by Chair Delaney at 6:00 pm. Present were
P&RC Chair Delaney, Commissioners Johnson, Tumbleson, Becker, Alternate
Julie Rudolph and ZA Gardner.
2. Motion to approve the Agenda by Johnson, seconded by Tumbleson. All in
favor; motion carried.
3. Pledge of Allegiance
4. Motion to approve the Minutes of the September 3, 2025 P&RC Meeting
made by Becker, seconded by Johnson. All in favor; motion carried.
5. Zoning Administrator’s Report: ZA Gardner reported that activity has been very
high, but has not resulted in permit applications for review. Prospective owner
inquiries, general queries and requests for pre-project consultations are reflected
in the monthly activity summary.
a. Anticipated activity: Gardner indicated that there are several projects for
review at the November P&RC meeting, including LUP/CUP for Minge (for
new dwelling in A-1 zone district), LUP/CUP for Kroll (shelter/storage
bunker and park model trailer), LUP and condo plat revision for Spider
Lake Properties LLC.
b. Notices and identified infractions:
i. Gardner indicated that contact would be made with owners having
visible violations of the Land Use Ordinance (RVs, etc).
6. Permit status at end of 3Q: Delaney provided a listing of permit applications
through the end of September of this year. Permit activity is consistent with
years past, although fees collected thus far are notably higher due to larger
homes and late (double) permit fees collected.
7. Sawyer County Camping Cabin regulations: Delaney reviewed the current status
of the County’s effort to poll Towns on their preference for limitations to the
proposed ‘Option F’ amendment. The Town of Spider Lake is not impacted by
this proposed county ordinance amendment.
8. Status of Land Use Ordinance 17-88 update: Delaney reported that a meeting is
scheduled in the coming week with a law firm having expertise in municipal
regulatory and land use issues.
9. As there was no other business coming before the Commission for Discussion,
Motion to Adjourn made by Johnson, seconded by Tumbleson. All in favor;
motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Sarah Delaney
