Review/Approve GPS unit for ADRC vehicle: Viergutz reviewed that the County Board had decided about 1 -1/2 years ago to install GPS units in County vehicles. When the decision was presented to the ADRC board, they voted to approve placement in the ADRC Explorer. The County Board wanted to ensure that county -owned vehicles weren’t being used for personal trips and to add an extra level of safety for certain departments as they’d be able to track where the vehicle/employee was at. The cost to the department is $22/month. The decision should be reviewed annually and Viergutz recommended to the committee that they not renew as there isn’t a concern. Procedures are in place for employees who do home visits such as a sign out/in sheet and Szomi is aware of where everyone is at and follows up with them if they are overdue to be back in the office. Motion to discontinue the GPS unit in the ADRC Explorer moved by Fierke. Seconded by Lemke. Ayes – 7 / Nays – 0. Motion carried. The formula considers food costs, packaging, mileage, salaries and rent from the previous year to come up with a per meal cost.
