Taylor County Housing Authority Thursday, July 9, 2026 West Entrance Meeting Room, Courthouse Call Meeting to Order: Chuck Webster called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. Members Present: Chuck Webster, Sue Swiantek and Tammy Mann. Members absent: Joe Tomandl and Lisa Carbaugh. Other Attendees: Andria Farrand. Approve the Agenda: Motion by Swiantek, seconded by Mann, to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Approve the minutes of the December 10, 2025 meeting : Motion by Mann, seconded by Swiantek, to approve the minutes of the December 10, 2025 meeting. Motion carried. Approval of revised quote for work on the rental house: Farrand reported that additional work is required beyond the scope of the original estimate. The initial quote of $500.00, which was covered by the WHEDA grant, was based on repairing a small section of the basement wall. Upon further inspection, it was determined that a much larger area requires repair, necessitating excavation around the entire front porch. The revised esti mate for the project is $2,000.00. Motion by Swiantek, seconded by Mann, to approve the revised estimate of $2,000.00. Motion carried. Farrand will contact the contractor to authorize the work and proceed with the repairs. Approval of repairs on rental house: Farrand requested guidance on handling tenant maintenance issues. She explained that some repairs are minor and can be addressed without committee approval. Motion by Mann, seconded by Swiantek, to authorize Farrand to approve and arrange for minor repairs costing up to $500.00 without prior committee approval.
