A copy of the expectations and guidelines should be provided for signature only when a participant is not following the expectations. Director/Program Specialist Report: Coleman stated things are going well with the catering with BRI. They have developed a system. Coleman gave an update on Senior Farmer’s Market Vouchers. The intimal handout in Medford was very successful, and we had some great volunteers. To date approximately 85-90 books of vouchers had been given out. Coleman told of the upcoming Nutrition program annual assessment stating th at her and the director will be reviewing and update procedures and to look for them with the next Nutrition Advisory Council Committee Meeting. Colman reviewed the eligibility criteria for participants who receive Carry - out meals. Many of the committee members felt this was helpful and cleared up several questions. Approve Minutes of the December 03, 2025, Meeting: Hrdina moved to approve the minutes; second by Rizzi. All Ayes. Motion carried. Approve the Agenda: Rizzi moved to approve the agenda with nine items; second by Fleming. All Ayes. Motion carried. Public Input: None Review 4th Quarter Nutrition Reports: Reports were not available at the meeting and will be mailed out. Site Updates: Goodrich: Hrdina reported the site is praising the changes in the food vendor. The food is being delivered a little later to the site, kept warm in the oven, temperatures remain good and all is well. The site recently celebrated a Valentine’s Day party. Rib Lake: Rizzi stated the site is always friendly and welcoming. Concerned that the congregate numbers are not increasing at all. Voiced a concern that was shared about a specific meal. The concern was also felt at other sites. Viergutz will share the concern with BRI. Medford: Graffunder stated the numbers are increasing to the point where they are having concerns about parking. Most of the parking concerns revolve around handicapped parking and enough space. Some are then parked in the space where the bus parks they leave before the bus returns. This could pose a hazard should an ambulance need to be called. Graffunder reported they play cards before dining and bingo after dining with good participation. Westboro: Peterson stated things are going well and everyone likes the improvement of the food and feels it is a better quality of food. Their numbers remain about the same but feel that participants have been steadier with the change in food vendor. Would like to see numbers increase, have heard comments that some people say they don’t care for eating off trays. No games or cards initiated at the site might be nice to have once in a while. Stetsonville: Kremsreiter stated they are doing well and seeing a slight increase in number, especially on Tuesdays, starting to see a few people from Medford coming down. They have a small group that plays cribbage before and after the meal. Jump River: Going well, count is down a bit and recently had a long-term participant pass away. Fleming stated the participants count their blessings with their site manager. Gilman: Viergutz reported that Cindy and Diane are working in Gilman, participation i s low. They host bingo once a month that brings in a nice group of individuals from the community, however, they do not see those individuals return throughout the month. The other issue is that the paperwork is not consistent on the day that bingo is being held, which is causing issues for end of the month reporting. This has been addressed in the past and has not been resolved . It is to the point where it is not a benefit to the program to continue with bingo as it is taking more time (staff wages) to fix the issues caused by the bookwork on the bingo day. Pulcher joined the group later and reported that he had missed the last two bingos and the congregate numbers as very low. Director/Program Specialist Report: Director Viergutz gave an update on the BRI vendor change stating that overall, it has been a good change for the program. BRI has been nice to work with in terms of working out the bugs and receiving feedback. Once BRI received the full bid, they came back with a price adjustment of $7.80/meal which matched the cost that Lynn’s catering had bid and they are splitting the delivery fee on Tuesdays and Thursdays between Rib Lake and Westboro. Viergutz updated the committee on the financials stating that our 2026 initial budget from GWAAR appears as if we will be $10,000 less in congregate funds from the prior year. This will affect our program significantly in the terms that we are generally allowed to transfer funds from congregate to home delivered. We are unaware if we will be able to do that this year depending upon how many counties request transfers. Viergutz also had to go to the Finance Committee in February and report how the RFP process effected the 2026 ADRC Nutrition budget. With the changes in the meal bids, it appears as if we need an additional $41,000 for 2026. The Finance Committee agreed to use the Nutrition Fund balance for this, along with our proposed community education plans. With our community awareness, the Home Delivered meal program was recently donated $5,000. Viergutz stated the office is still waiting to hear back results from GWAAR on the end of the year nutrition program review. She will share those results during the next meeting. She shared that Arlene Judnic turned in her resignation from the Rib Lake dining site after over 14 years. We have two candidates that are interested in the position. Jenn and Jenny will be filling in Rib Lake during the month of March to make sure there is adequate coverage and training being provided. Health Promotion - the next series of Powerful Tools for Caregivers is starting March 17th this is a free virtual class for caregivers that will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Transportation update included the ADRC is trying a new opportunity of offering a ride to the Lucille Tack Center on March 12th for a 7 pm show of a Glen Campbell Tribute. Cost of bus is $10; participants can purchase tickets individually for the event or come into the ADRC and have us purchase tickets and the bus ride together. Casino trips also continue to go well, last month we took two buses. Medford continues to host a once -a-month international program with the SOAR students; this is generally lead by ADRC staff and have a craft and or activity involved. It is nice to see the interactions and relationships form. Nail Care is continuing at Medford, Rib Lake, Gilman and Jump River dining sites if there are a minimum of five people participating. The ADRC Board will have two positions opening in April, one to represent Older Adults and one Member at Large. Dates to remember: Viergutz discussed the next pop -up lunch that was coming up March 17 th in Stetsonville “Protecting Your Gold” in collaboration with Nicolet Bank. It will discuss scams and fraud. The Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet will be held April 17 th in Stetsonville, and this year’s Wisconsin Association of Nutrition Directors conference will be held April 29th and 30th in Wausau. Viergutz ended with an ADRC building project update. The construction is almost complete, the inside offices are done and office furniture should be delivered before the end of March. The outside of the building has some siding and brick to finish up. Set Next Meeting Date: The next meeting will be June 9, 2026, 10:30 am at the Jump River Dining Site. Adjourn: Kremsreiter moved to adjourn the meeting; second by Graffunder: All Ayes. Meeting adjourned at 11:20 AM. Jenn Viergutz, ADRC Director, Secretary
