7. New Business
8. Park’s Report: Anderson shared that the restrooms will be closing at the end of October with the
exception to Larson Acres Park and Countryside due to the Soccer season. There was discussion about
potentially closing the lower park for the winter. The discussion included advantages of having Leota
Park open such as higher park utilization. Concerns included potential vandalism and overfishing. No
decision was made.
A. Adopt-A-Park Updates: Anderson shared that there are a few signs that need to be put up.
B. Aquatic Center Updates: Anderson shared that there is a plan to be worked on to get the pool
winterized for the year. Stuart suggested a revisit for a discussion about August hours and the April
meeting.
9. Old Business
A. Frank & Carole Wyrostek reviewing Aquatic Center music levels: Wyrostek wanted to let the
Park Board know that the volume level that was voted on at the July 29th meeting has not been
maintained. Wyrostek said that he had reached out to the Aquatic Center and Park Board Chair
Poock a few times, but the music level was very inconsistent. Stuart cautioned Wyrostek that the
communication should remain with a City employee instead of reaching out to Poock. Stuart also
explained that more than likely the topic will be brought up again. There was additional discussion
about how the wind could factor into the level of music.
B. Larson Acres Park Construction Status: Anderson shared that the ball diamonds are still not
great but they are open and available for use.
C. Park and Outdoor Recreation Plan Update: No updates to be given.
