I am a senior at EHS, I was wondering if I could get on the Park Agenda to present my Senior project, for my Senior project I am wanting to show movies at the park (specifically the lower park by the baseball diamond) to raise money for the Jed Foundation. Admission would be free but I would make money from concessions, I was also wondering if I could get it approved that day because technically the first date is June 24th Thank you, Ollie Schnepper! 6B Elle Natrop <elle.natrop@ci.evansville.wi.gov> Fwd: 2-4-D at the park 1 message Jason Sergeant <jason.sergeant@ci.evansville.wi.gov> Mon, Jun 19, 2023 at 5:57 AM To: Michelle Natrop <elle.natrop@ci.evansville.wi.gov> You can include this email in the park board packet as discussed ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Dale Roberts <dale.roberts@ci.evansville.wi.gov> Date: Fri, Jun 9, 2023 at 11:25 AM Subject: 2-4-D at the park To: Jason Sergeant <jason.sergeant@ci.evansville.wi.gov> Jason, Here is a write up of what happened. The middle of last month Municipal services applied 2-4-D to the grass at the parks, cemetery, substations, wells and the Wastewater treatment plant to get control of the dandelions. From what I was told, 2-4-D starts to vaporize at temperatures above 70 degrees. When it was applied to the park, the temperature became warmer faster than expected causing it to turn to a vapor and had some effect on some lower branches of the trees in the area. We also did not know that it was not going to rain for a month. To avoid this from happening again we would like to spread weed and feed in the areas with trees. We have been watering the small trees at the park to try to help with the stress that they are dealing with. I also noticed that someone else is putting liquid on the small trees also because when I get there to water them they are already wet around the base of the tree. (I hope it is water) There is new growth on the tree since the 2-4-D was applied and the new growth looks to be not affected.
