MINUTES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING Tuesday, July 28, 2026 1. Roll Call: Robert Selck-President, Chuck Duncan Sr, Danielle Harnack, Mae Cowan, Jeanne Wilson, Chuck Hagmann, Steve Haberman. Guests were Roland Nath, Julia Engler, Stacy Baertschi, Sandy Baertschi, John Thomson, and Paul Stenker. 2. Discussed location of the Kersten land, which the Village Board is looking into purchase. 3. Discussion about access roads. Motion by Steve H., 2nd by Chuck D. to recommend two access roads into the N.E.P1. - one at the existing water tower access road between 386 and 410 N. Gilbert St. and one adjacent to the South property line of 300 N. Gilbert St. {Jim Allen's home} - and removing or resizing Lot #14 to accommodate the South access road into N.E.P1. Motion passed unanimously. 4. Discussed Non-Profit status: Building Inspector issues with permits. Chuck Duncan will attempt to take over contacting him. Tom Naatz will help Chuck D. coordinate construction of the new grandstand. The restrooms are on hold pending building permits. Discussion on putting up new lights and poles. Some of the old poles will be restored and used at different parts of the park because of historic value. Discussed making a few changes to the drawing for the grandstand - raising the entire foundation, raising the seating up higher so the visibility is improved, and possibly putting in a cement ramp for wheelchair usage on the side of the old concession area. The ramp would be right against the building so it wouldn’t be be a tripping hazard for anyone. 5. No further discussion from anyone. 6.
