places in the Village that recently experienced major flooding. Batterman will be checking elevations and
looking at what has been done historically to alleviate flooding. At the next board meeting on May 21st they
will bring some ideas on what the Village can do to help prevent flooding in the future. Concrete blocks and
sandbags could be placed on Haberdale Drive to try to divert the flow of water down the street instead of
flowing behind the houses on the north side of Janesville Street. This will allow us to see if diverting the
water helps, before spending a lot of money on a permanent fix of installing curb and gutter. Motion by N.

cost not to exceed $2,000.00. Motion carried unanimously.

allow the Footville Police Department to patrol in Plymouth Township and enforce their ordinances. With
this agreement, Footville officers would patrol in Plymouth Township approximately 2 hours per week and
all fines and citations would be retained by the Village. Anytime the township requests an officer to enforce
an ordinance there would be a $35/hour fee. S. Haberman noted this is not covering the Village’s costs if
they are not also paying for the patrol hours. Charging of an annual fee was discussed. N. Conaway will talk

after which to it will be revisited for permanent placement. Motion carried unanimously.

committee appointments. He suggests realigning/combining some committees. This would require a
change to Village ordinances. S. Haberman asked if there was a conflict of interest with N. Conaway being
on the Police and Fire Committee and also being the Court Clerk. N. Conaway stated there was not a
conflict of interest and an attorney had been consulted about this in the past. S. Haberman asked to be put
on the Fire Commission. J. Thomson did not accept this change. C. Hagmann requested to be removed as
the chairman of the Finance and Purchase committee. J. Thomson made the change and will chair that
committee himself. The proposed realignment of the committees will be put on the June meeting agenda.
32. Accept resignation of Melody Harer, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer: Motion by N. Conaway, 2nd by S.
