VILLAGE OF FOOTVILLE-MEETING NOTICE
PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE
FRID AY, DECEMBER 19, 2025
MINUTES
1. The December 19, 2025, meeting of the Village of Footville Parks and Recreation Committee was called to
order at 6:00 pm by chairperson Danielle Harnack. Committee members present: D. Harnack, R. Nath and
D. Wells. Also present: Brian Givens, Steve Haberman, and Steve Sagen.
2. Location and design of new bathrooms and concession stand : There was an open discussion on the
location of the bathrooms . Everyone agreed that they should be built next to the stone pavilion, but not
connecting. There would be at least 5 feet between them. It would be cost effective because there is a water
line and the sewer is close. The Economic Development Committee will be working on a grant application
for the new bathroom structure. It will have 2 separate restrooms that will be ADA compliant. There will also
be a storage room in it.
3. Upgrade and cost of new ball diamond : Kujawa Enterprises, Inc. has been authorized to complete the
upgrade to the park ball diamond. They are to have it completed in early spring (weather permitting), before
ball starts. The Village Board approved $10,000 for park expenses in the 2026 budget. $8,000 will be used
for the upgrade. We are going with the “Better” quote at $16,578.00. The non-profit will pay the balance of
$8,578. The balance of $2,000 from the budget will be used for weed control at the park. Steve Sagen has
been working on this project. The committee agreed to leave the concession stand in the grandstand until
we can get more donations and funding to either add it to the new building or add it to the new grandstand
area. The stone pavilion will be updated through donations and fundraisers from the park committee and
the non-profit. Tom Naatz has shown interest in building the new bathroom structure. The committee felt it
would be good to stay local.
4. Ideas for fundraisers and where the donations should go : The Parks Committee discussed different
fundraiser options. They may turn it over to the non-profit. This will be discussed at the next meeting.
5. Preliminary discussion on other matters not proposed for action: R. Nath is concerned about the
awning over the concession stand window. D. Harnack will get a quote on fixing it. Brian Givens wondered
when we will put up the new flagpole on the scoreboard. D. Harnack will get a quote from Akey
Manufacturing. D. Wells wondered about the cost of taking down the grandstand someday. Chuck
Duncan is working on that with Bjoin.
6. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by R. Nath, 2nd by D. Harnack to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:05
pm.
