VILLAGE OF FOOTVILLE – MEETING NOTICE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING TUESDAY , OCTOBER 28, 2025 MINUTES 1. The Special Board Meeting of the Village of Footville was called to order by President J. Thomson at 2:00 pm. Board members present: J. Thomson, N. Beal, N. Conaway, D. Harnack, J. Harnack, R. Nath, D. Wells. Also present: Don Bomkamp. 2. CONSIDER A MOTION TO CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO WISCONSIN STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1)(c) TO INTERVIEW CANDIDATES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTENT POSITIONS: Motion by N. Beal, 2nd by R. Nath to convene into closed session. Roll call vote: D. Wells - yes, D. Harnack - yes, R. Nath - yes, N. Beal - yes, J. Harnack - yes, N. Conaway - yes, J. Thomson – yes. Meeting moved into closed session at 2:01 pm 3. CLOSED SESSION 4. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION: Motion by J. Harnack, 2nd by N. Beal to reconvene into open session. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting reconvened into open session at 5:11 pm. 5. Recommendation and hiring of candidates for Police Department positions: Motion by N. Conaway, 2nd by R. Nath to move forward with obtaining background checks on the top two candidates chosen by the board. Motion carried unanimously. 6. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by N. Beal to adjourn the meeting.
