Reports
ADRC of Taylor County
Viergutz stated that ridership is going well and no issues with the transportation services. She
that with the advertising that was done through the Supporting Healthy Aging Coalition and
ADRC they were gained a few more Volunteer Drivers raising the pool to 15. We offered free
mini bus rides during the month of March. Part of the Three Year Aging Plan indicates that we
will continue to target and market the rural areas for the mini bus to raise participation. The
casino bus continues to be the most popular form of transportation with many times needing
two buses.
Black River Industries (BRI)
Fallos stated that ridership is going well. They operate 12 busses and 13 vehicles. They contract
in town and are able to get clients and others to work, fun, and other necessities as needed.
Their busses run to Philips, Abby/Colby and to the Western Taylor County areas to serve their
clients. Currently they are serving 170 individuals.
Taylor County Veterans Service Office
Wundrow reported that they currently have 5 volunteer drivers that are available to take
Veterans to VA Authorized Medical Appointments. As of December , they provided 75 total
round trips equaling 9228 miles.
