COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES & RULES Tuesday, April 16, 2024 Third Floor County Board Room Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Jim Metz called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. Members Present: Jim Metz, Chuck Zenner, Scott Mildbrand, Diane Albrecht, Rollie Thums and Lisa Carbaugh. Members Absent: None. Other Attendees: Lynn Rosemeyer, Karen Cummings, Darrell Thomspon, Chuck Zenner, Lorie Floyd, Casey Belgram and Andria Farrand. Discuss and act on changes to standing committee appointments : The committee added the new members to the elected and appointed committees: • Executive Committee: Jim Metz, Chair, Scott Mildbrand and Chuck Zenner. • Highway Committee: Jim Gebauer, Chair, Rod Adams, Darrell Thompson, Chuck Zenner and Tim Hansen. • Extension Committee: Tim Hansen, Chair, Catherine Lemke, Karen Cummings and Jim Metz. • Land Conservation Committee: Tim Hansen, Chair, Catherine Lemke, Karen Cummings and Jim Metz. • Finance, Budget Review and Insurance Committee: Chuck Zenner, Chair, Scott Mildbrand, Catherine Lemke, Mike Bub and Lisa Carbaugh. • Committee on Committees and Rules: Jim Metz, Chair, Scott Mildbrand, Rollie Thums, Diane Albrecht, Lisa Carbaugh and Bud Suckow. • Personnel Committee: Chuck Zenner, Chair, Scott Mildbrand, Rollie Thums, Lynn Rosemeyer and Jim Gebauer. Additional changes were made to the remaining committees: • Board of Health: Replaced Tim Hansen with Karen Cummings. • Human Services Board: Replaced Karen Cummings Catherine Lemke with Sue Swiantek. Adjourn: Motion by Albrecht, seconded by Carbaugh, to adjourn the meeting at 12:23 p.m. The motion carried. Members Absent: Lisa Carbaugh. Other Attendees: Andria Farrand. Approve the agenda: Motion by Albrecht, seconded by Thums, to approve the agenda with 5 items. Motion carried. Approve the minutes of July 28, 2023, meeting: Motion by Zenner, seconded by Albrecht, to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Discuss and act on changes to standing committee appointments: The committee made the following changes: • Law Enforcement and Emergency Services: Replace Ray Soper with Darrell Thompson. • Human Service Board: Replace Catherine Lemke with Karen Cummings. • Forestry & Recreation: Replace Myron Brooks with Bud Suckow. • Zoning: Replace Myron Brooks, Mike Bub and Sue Swiantek, with Diane Albrecht, Karen Cummings and Darrel Thompson. • Solid Waste: Replace Myron Brooks, Mike Bub and Sue Swiantek, with Diane Albrecht, Karen Cummings and Darrel Thompson. • Land Information: Replace Ray Soper with Darrell Thompson. • Commission on Aging : Replace Diane Albrecht, whose term is up, with Rod Adams as Chair. • Tourism: Appoint Sue Swiantek as Chair. • Price-Taylor Rail Trail Corridor Commission: Replace Sue Swiantek with Darrell Thompson and Jake Walcisak with Lucas Williams. • Veterans Service Commission: Fill the vacant spot with Jeff Hein for a three-year term. • CEP Representative: Replace Lorie Floyd with Bud Suckow as the alternate. • County Rep. to NWRP Commission: Replace Lorie Floyd with Catherine Lemke. • Indianhead Community Agency: Replace Lynn Rosemeyer with Karen Cummings. • Taylor County Education Liaison: Replace Chuck Zenner with Sue Swiantek. • Local Emergency Planning Committee: Replace Jeff Sorenson with Tim C. Allen, DNR, Chad Demulling with Rachel Newberry, Nestle, fill the VACANT position with Gail Jacobsen, Community Rep and replace Fred Ebert with Dawn Quednow, Community Rep. • Transportation Coordination: Replace Diane Albrecht with Rod Adams as the COA member. • Mining Committee: Replace Myron Brooks with Lorie Floyd. • Board of Adjustments: Replace Sue Swiantek with Darrell Thompson. • POWTS Revolving Loan Committee: Replace Scott Mildbrand with Lorie Floyd, and Chuck Zenner with Sue Swiantek. • Strategic Planning Committee: Replace Ray Soper with Sue Swiantek and appoint Lorie Floyd Chair.
