Theresa Fire Commission Meeting July 15, 2025 Meeting called to order at 6:05 Attendees were: Karrie Isken, Randy Wendling, Chris Giese, Rodney Justman, Roy Zastrow, Warren Stanke, Andy Pike, Connie Schaumberg, and Scott Bernhard Secretary Report: The minutes of the May 20 meeting were read and approved. Treasurer’s Report: The treasurer’s report was approved as read. The check book audited from May 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025. Checkbook Balance: $6,575.33 Money Market Balance: $13,519.67 (2.47% Interest Rate) Capital Improvement CD Balance: $5,947.58 (4.31% Interest Rate) General Fund CD Balance: $7,031.57 (3.93% Interest Rate) Discussion regarding ongoing confusion with Wisconsin Annual Reconciliation of Income Tax Withheld (WT-7). The department pays annually, not quarterly. Chris is checking on. Old Business: Reviewed by Karrie Isken All door openers are now replaced. Waiting o Wisconsin Annual Reconciliation of Income Tax Withheld (WT-7) n new door seals which are ordered. Back up alarm has been repaired in Tender 3492. New suction hose arrived and has been repaired. 4 Gas Meter has been repaired. Another 4 Gas Meter needs replacing. Portable Thermal Imager needs replacement. Hose testing conducted and all passed. Large diameter hose was not able to be tested at this time. Insurance company submitted Member Family Assistance Program flyer to department with invoice for $600.00. did this get paid? Open House Saturday, 5/17/25 with 60 non-fire-related attendees. New Business: Warren Stanke gave the following report: Issues with 1996 Engine 3462/Recommended repair invoice submitted by Rennert’s Fire Equipment for $33,048.00 total. Failed the vacuum pump test. Rennert’s stated “should be out of service.” Last year budgeted for $5000, new estimates closer to $8000. Work completed. $275. Chg? Front and rear leaf springs underneath need replacement with estimate of $12,500. Tentatively scheduled for August 13, 2025 based on funds approval. Rear intake valve and plumbing corroded, needs replacement with an estimate of $20,298. Giese and Isken will contact Village and Township boards to set up special meeting for approval of funds to make repairs not included in this year’s budget. Equipment costs are shared 50/50. Stanke will present info for the board meeting. Work completed to repair broken brake line on Brush Truck Brake line $552.43. Door seals repaired. Photos of hail damage to the doors submitted. Score keeping building tipped over. Awaiting response by insurance. Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 PM. Next Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM.
