Agenda Item #: 3a Below is the proposed schedule for the 2027 budget preparation and approval process: Tuesday, July 7: Budget worksheets distributed to Department Heads to begin budget preparation Tuesday, August 4: Budget worksheets returned to Finance Director for review and preparation of budget Monday, September 14: High level budget discussion with the Finance/Personnel Ad-Hoc Committee Monday, September 21: High level budget discussion with the Finance/Personnel Ad-Hoc Committee Monday, September 28: Department Head meetings with Administrator and Village President Tuesday, October 6: Budget books distributed to Village Board and Department Heads Budget Workshops: Monday, October 19, 2026 – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026 – 5:00 p.m. (if needed) Monday, November 2: Publish budget Budget Hearing: November 17, 2026 – 6:30 p.m.
