ACTION: AUTHORIZATION FOR UNCLE CHARLIE’S TOURNAMENTS TO HOST A YOUTH
SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT JULY 16-19, 2026
C. Clark:
Uncle Charlie’s Tournaments is seeking authorization to host a youth softball tournament July
16-19, 2026, at Riverview, Green Isle, and Webster Parks.
- This is the second year they will be hosting this tournament. There were no issues last
year during the tournament.
- They anticipate over 80 teams for ages 10u to 18u again this year utilizing sites in
Allouez and Ashwaubenon.
- This year they are looking to expand to utilize diamonds at Green Isle Park and PHM-
Webster Park in addition to Riverview Park.
- The group is also seeking approval for a vendor permit to sell apparel and admission fee
of $5 to help pay for officials for games.
- The Village anticipates collecting approximately $5500 in revenues for tournament fees
this year.
- Allouez Girls Softball will be operating concessions at Riverview Park during the
tournament as a fundraiser for the organization. Green Bay Youth Baseball may be
operating concessions at Webster Park as a fundraiser.
Discussion:
- R. Atwood said he received a complaint from a resident last year regarding the admission
fee. Would the group be willing to ask for a donation versus admission fee?
- C. Clark inquired with the group and they did not feel they would obtain enough if it
were a donation.
- The fee would be admission to ball diamonds to watch the games. Access to parks is
open at no fee.
- Many youth sport opportunities require admissions including high school sports.
F. Schmidt moved to approve Uncle Charlie’s Tournaments to host a youth softball
tournament at Riverview Park, Green Isle Park, and Webster Park July 16th – 19th. R.
Atwood seconded the motion. Motion passed.
