DISCUSSION/ACTION: AUTHORIZATION FOR EXPANSION OF THE DISC GOLF COURSE AT
WIESE PARK
C. Clark provided information to the Committee for a proposed expansion to the disc golf course
at Wiese Park. Clark has been working with village resident, Wayne Berkovitz, since May to add
an additional 9 holes which would make it an 18-hole course.
- The expansion will be funded by donations, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts arranged
by Berkovitz.
- The proposed layout of the additional holes is similar to a previously authorized
expansion by a different group in 2016.
- The new holes will be located in underutilized areas of the park with little to no impact
on active areas of the park and trails.
- Village staff will provide minimal assistance for this project where powered equipment
may be needed.
- Berkovitz has estimated a budget of approximately $8200 for the equipment and
materials.
R. Atwood moved to authorize the expansion of the disc golf course at Wiese Park. G. Faller
seconded the motion. Motion passed.
