For more information, contact: Sean Gehin, P.E. Village of Allouez Director of Public Works 920.448.2802 Public Meeting for the Extension of LeBrun Street on December 8th The Village of Allouez is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss the City of De Pere’s request to extend LeBrun Street to 500 feet east of McCastlen Street. The street extension is being requested to provide access to a proposed 5.5-acre multi-family residential development located directly south of Presque Isle Court in the City of De Pere. The meeting will be held on Monday, December 8th, 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Allouez Village Hall, located at 1900 Libal Street. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 6 pm. The remainder of the meeting will follow an informal open-house format allowing you time to review the displays and discuss your questions and concerns with project representatives. The Village and City have met multiple times to determine how best to serve the proposed residential development while minimizing impacts to those abutting the LeBrun Street right-of-way. The following options are being considered to provide access to the proposed development. • Extension of LeBrun Street from McCastlen Street west 500’ to a proposed Cul-De-Sac (Offset in R/W) – This option would shift the roadway south limiting the need of Village right-of-way to 5.5 feet. This option would also include the engineering and grading of an 8-ft trail along the north side of the roadway for consideration in the future. • Construction of a Private Driveway in the City right-of-way. If the extension of LeBrun Street is agreed to, the City of De Pere would construct and maintain at no expense to the Village. The street extension option works to create a greater buffer from the street to the homes located to the north, ensures the proper maintenance of the roadway pavement in the future, and works to strengthen the relationship between the two municipalities.
