July 22, 2025 (Allouez Parks, Recreation & Forestry Committee Meeting) 1 ALLOUEZ PARKS, RECREATION, & FORESTRY COMMITTEE MEETING TUESDAY, JULY 22ND, 2025 5:30 P.M., ALLOUEZ VILLAGE HALL CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM by Ryan Hallberg Present: Keith Leiterman, Gerry Faller, Ryan Hallberg, Marc Seidl, Deidra Ruohomaki, Rob Atwood Excused: Jason Mathwig Also Present: Chris Clark MODIFY / ADOPT AGENDA R. Atwood moved to adopt the agenda as presented. K. Leiterman seconded the motion. Motion passed. APPROVAL OF MAY 27, 2025, MINUTES D. Ruohomaki moved to approve the minutes dated May 27th, 2025. K. Leiterman seconded the motion. Motion passed. PUBLIC APPEARANCES - None ANNOUNCEMENTS a. Movies in the Park - Encanto, July 25th at Green Isle Park - Luca, August 15th at Voyageur Park in De Pere b. Music in the Park - Big Scuba Duo, August 14th from 5-8pm at Green Isle Park INFORMATION: UPDATES ON DISCUSSION ITEMS AND PROJECTS a. Green Bay School District land swap - Village Board and Green Bay Public School District have agreed to a land swap of approximately 4 acres of land on the west end of PHM-Webster Park for the Langlade Elementary School site - This would take place following the closing of Langlade School in 2026 - No decisions have been made at this time regarding any use or development of the Langlade School property - The Village will continue to utilize the space at PHM-Webster Park as we currently do - A formal agreement has not been completed yet July 22, 2025 (Allouez Parks, Recreation & Forestry Committee Meeting) 2 b. C. Clark provided an update on park projects and maintenance items. - The kayak rental kiosk has been installed at Kayaker’s Point - Eastlawn Park shelter renovation has begun with anticipated completion by the end of August - Green Isle Memorial Garden ▪ Brickwork has been completed ▪ Landscaping and bench installation will be completed shortly - Webster Park parking lot project is scheduled to start the beginning of August with completion by November - Staff maintenance items ▪ Turf maintenance and mowing ▪ Athletic field preparation ▪ Tournament and event preparation and cleanup ▪ General park cleanup and maintenance ▪ Tree and stump removals ▪ Facility maintenance and repairs ▪ Playground maintenance DISCUSSION: 2026 PARKS CAPITAL PROJECTS The Committee held preliminary discussion regarding potential capital improvement projects and purchases in parks for the 2026 budget.
