Public Meeting – Brown County SS4A Traffic Safety Plan
Brown County is hosting the first of two public involvement meetings for its Safe Streets and Roads for All
(SS4A) project from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 24 in the Oak Room of the De Pere Community Center.
The event will follow an open-house format. You can stop by anytime to ask questions, share feedback
about roads in our local community and learn more about the county’s efforts to develop a comprehensive
Safety Action Plan.
A virtual meeting also will be held from 6–7 p.m. that evening for those unable to attend in person.
Background: Brown County, in partnership with local municipalities, was awarded a US DOT Safe Streets
and Roads for All (SS4A) grant to complete a safety action plan intended to reach zero preventable deaths
in the county. The plan will assess location-specific safety challenges and identify potential
countermeasures and strategies to improve transportation safety throughout the county.
