1. Operator’s Reports/Maintenance and repair issues
Cerny reported water usage was up in the month of May. The graph was provided
to the Commission. He speculated the increase was due to annual flushing of the
lines. The operators added there may be a minor leak.
Blaney asked why they thought there was a leak. Vanden Langenberg said that
water usage continues to go up.
Blaney asked for the next steps. Vanden Langenberg said they will continue to
review. As of June 9, the operators reviewed 1/3 of the Town.
Cerny said Water Tower painting may take place this month. This project is part of
the contract for water tower maintenance. The DNR has approved the painting of
the water tower. Vanden Langenberg said they will be there one day next week, and
the project takes approximately one week to complete.
Cerny reported on the operators’ ongoing water meter replacement program. The
annual goal is to replace 60 of the system’s oldest meters, and approximately 50
meters have been replaced to date in 2026.

1. Drainage Issues
a. Hackberry Court drainage issue: Cerny stated this item is on hold. Cerny said
that the Town recognizes the culverts on Hackberry Court are undersized and the
issue on Champeau is outstanding. He said the town is looking at alternative
solutions.
Resident Joe Spoon, 3593 Champeau Rd, was at the meeting and shared his
drainage concerns. He shared a video recording from a previous storm where his
electric box, located 3’ off the ground, was underwater. He stated there were danger
issues.
Cerny recognized the issue needed to be addressed and appreciated Spoon’s
patience.
Blaney asked what the next steps are.
Cerny said a meeting with the engineers and the landscaper will need to take place.
This item will continue to stay on the agenda and will be discussed further next
month.
3. Wequiock Creek Flood Study : Cerny said additional meetings and resident
notifications will be scheduled in June. He discussed the purpose of the flood study.
4. Maintenance & Repair Issues: Cerny reported that ditch/culvert repairs
are actively been worked on since the flooding in April. Additional
culvert/ditch repairs are needed at the corner of Doris & Conard Roads,
and on Heesacker Road.
Doris & Conard Road needs repairs due to erosion. Heesacker Road
needs a repair due to erosion, and the culvert will be replaced later.
Cerny deferred to Brosteau regarding the funding possibilities for the
culverts on Swan Road. Brosteau said the state created a new bridge
program and the culvert qualifies as it is over 6 feet. Brosteau stated there
is also a County program, however, the rating must be a four to qualify.
The Swan Road culvert is rated at 6. Brosteau noted the balancing act
between qualifying for funding and avoiding a pipe failure.
For the culverts on Swan Road, it has been planned for replacement. Staff
are looking at funding sources with grants. Depending on which funding
source, staff can determine the timeline of when it will be replaced.
