Page 9 Town (100) Page 10 2025 Town Highlights Public Work Projects Completed in 2025: Edmund Road Reconditioning The Edmund Road was reconditioned in October 2025. The project consisted of adding about 3 inches of gravel to the roadway and then pulverizing the street with the gravel and existing pavement. The contractor graded out the roadway, placed 3-inches of new pavement and placed a one-foot gravel shoulder on both sides Chip Sealing: The following roads that were chip sealed in 2025 along their entire lengths were : Circle Ridge Road, Conard Road, Edwin Lane, Strebel Road, North Hemlock south of Van Lanen, and in the Bay Heights Subdivision—Sparrow, Heron, Loon, Egret, and Osprey Lane. Chip sealing applys a layer of new asphalt over the existing surface, followed by a coating of tar and small aggregate (chip stone). This process creates a smoother surface and extends the life of the road. While it’s not as thorough as full repaving, chip sealing is a cost-effective way to maintain roads. Website Redesigned In 2025 staff worked with Town Web to redesign townofscott.com. Designed with residents and visitors in mind, the new site offers a more modern look, improved navigation, and easier access to important information and services. The new website also includes a Community Guide highlighting local businesses. New Park Equipment St. Killian’s Park had new park equipment installed, enhancing recreational opportunities for residents and families. In addition, Scott Memorial Park also received new park equipment in late 2024, further improving amenities and play experiences at both locations.
