Two remaining laterals need to be repaired, both on Edgewater Beach. All parties to be on - line at the same time to complete the assessment. 4459 Nicolet lift station has been abandoned, project is complete. Culvert Inventory and Replacement Cerny said it has been the goal of SMU to have road culverts replaced at least a year before the Town is planning on repaving a road. This allows the road base to settle and compact for at least a year prior to new pavement being overlaid. For 2026 the Town is planning on re-paving Bay Heights Drive & Sandpiper Way. In 2027 the Town will reconstruct a portion of Champeau Road, and re-pave a portion. The culverts in these 3 roads are in good condition so no work is anticipated. SMU is planning on replacing 2 large culverts on Swan Road this year, and in 2027 or later replacing additional culverts on Edgewater Beach; as that road is expected to be the next major road project sometime after 2027. Culvert condition is monitored every year so additional culvert failures can be identified and replaced on a case by case basis. Kerr asked if things are tracked so we have historical data. Cerny said yes. Tauschek said the operators went around every culvert and put a detailed description of the condition. Herrman requested an updated map. Cerny said he would work with Brosteau to create one from the Diamond Maps System. 5. Street Sweeping Contract Cerny stated e ach year SMU contracts for street sweeping; as a ‘service’ it does not have to be bid. Reliable Sweep has provided a rate for 2026 of $140/ hour, the same as 2025. He recommended that SMU contract with Reliable Sweep for the 2026 season. Blaney asked why street sweeping is under SMU. Cerny said that street sweeping is necessary to prevent debris from entering the stormwater systems. Herrman added they also clean the drains, which is related to storm water. Cerny said street sweeping only occurs on roads with curb and gutter. Moved by Kerr, seconded by Malvitz to contract with Reliable Sweep for the 2026 season. Vote: Aye-4, No-0. Motion Carried. 6.
