MINUTES OF BUDGET HEARING VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IN THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY ROOM November 25, 2024 at 6 pm The Village Board, of the Village of Strum, Wisconsin, Trempealeau County, convened for the purpose of presenting the proposed budget for 2025. The meeting was held at 6 p.m. in the Village Community Room. , Meeting called to order: The meeting was called to order by the Village President, Dean Boehne at 6:00 p.m. Village Clerk, Tish Nelson, took the minutes of the meeting. The following board members were present: Berge, Thompson, Hanson, Bjerke and Rindal. Maki was absent. Open Meeting Law Requirements Have Been Complied With: President Boehne announced the open meetings law requirements have been met for the meeting. The 2025 Proposed Budget had been posted in the normal locations and published in the Tri-County News. The 2025 budget was presented for discussion. The proposed taxes to be levied are $343,407.00. 2025 General Fund BUDGET REVENUES Taxes: General Property $ 343,407.00 Other Taxes $ 37,500.00 Special Assessments $ 1,015.20 Intergovernmental Revenues $ 450,483.03 Licenses & Permits $ 5,825.00 Fines, Forfeitures & Penalties $ 2,500.00 Public Charges for Services $ 153,600.00 Miscellaneous Revenues $ 43,184.95 Other Financing Sources $ 116,000.00 TOTAL REVENUES $1,153,515.18 EXPENDITURES General Government $ 142,899.18 Public Safety $ 217,453.36 Public Works $ 287,744.07 Culture, Recreation & Education $ 146,219.42 Tree & Brush Control $ 3,000.00 Capital Outlay $ 91,780.00 Debt Service $ 264,419.15 TOTAL EXPENDITURES $ 1,153,515.18 President Boehne closed Public Hearing at 6:15 p.m. MINUTES OF SPECIAL BOARD MEETING VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IN THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY ROOM NOVEMBER 25, 2024 6:15 P.M. The Special Board Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees, for the Village of Strum, Wisconsin, Trempealeau County was held at 6:15 p.m. in the Village Community Room. Meeting called to order: The meeting was called to order by the Village President, Dean Boehne at 6:15 p.m. Village Clerk, Tish Nelson took the minutes of the meeting. The following board members were present: Berge, Thompson, Hanson, Bjerke and Rindal. Maki was absent. Adopt 2025 Budget: Village President went through the General outlays, a discussion presented about the Pickleball Court outlay for $8,300. A motion was made by Thompson and seconded by Berge to adopt the proposed 2025 Budget as presented and levy the proposed taxes at $420,407.00. An amendment for the budget was made by Bjerke to remove the $8,300 Pickleball Court Outlay from the presented 2025 budget and saving it till 2026, seconded by Hanson. Motion carried with 4 ayes, 1 nye. The original motion to adopt the 2025 Budget, now with the amendment, was on the floor with 4 ayes, 1 nye. Motion carried to adopt the 2025 Budget.
