CRYSTAL LAKE DISTICT ANNUAL MEETING Monday, September 9, 2024 Immediately following Regular Village Board Meeting VILLAGE COMMUNITY ROOM – 202 FIFTH AVENUE S. The Crystal Lake District Annual Meeting, Strum, Wisconsin, Trempealeau County, was held in the Village Community Room on Monday, September 9, 2024. Meeting called to order: The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Dean Boehne at 8:07 p.m. Board Secretary, Tish Nelson, took the minutes of the meeting. The following commissioners were present: Berge, Thompson, Hanson, Rindal and Bjerke. Stendahl was absent. Open Meeting Law Requirements Have Been Complied With: Chairman Boehne announced the open meetings law requirements have been met for the meeting. Approval of minutes: A motion was made by Thompson and seconded by Rindal to approve the minutes from the meeting held on September 11, 2023. Motion carried. Election of Commissioners: Motion by Thompson and seconded by Rindal to nominate Hanson, Stendahl and Bjerke. A motion was made by Rindal and seconded by Bjerke to close the nominations and cast a unanimous ballot. Motion carried. Lake Dredging: The Commissioners had discussed a Crystal Lake dredging project, and the commission asked to get in contact with Ayres to see if permits had been started and how long they would be good for. It was decided that the project would be put on hold until 2026 or 2027. Budget for 2025: A motion was made by Berge and seconded by Bjerke to set the 2024 Tax Levy at $77,000. Motion carried. Set 2025 Lake District Meeting: A motion was made by Thompson and seconded by Hanson to set the meeting on September 8, 2025 immediately following the regular board meeting. Motion carried. Adjournment: A motion Thompson and seconded by Hanson to adjourn the meeting at 8:36 pm.
