TOWN OF AZTALAN TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES MARCH 11, 2026 1. Call to Order / Pledge of Allegiance - Chair Chwala called the board meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present: Chair Jeremy Chwala, Supervisor Larry Christianson, Supervisor Megan Dunneisen Also present: Treasurer Teresa Keeser and Clerk Kathleen Pitzner. This meeting was held at Aztalan Town Hall located at W6260 County Rd B, Jefferson County WI. 2. Proof of Posting and Notice - Clerk Pitzner stated that the notice for this meeting was posted to the Town website and the posting box located at the Town Hall on March 7, 2026 3. Approval of Minutes - February 11, 2026 - Chair Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to approve the February 11, 2026 minutes as written. Motion carried . { Supervisor Dunneisen abstained.} 4. Approval of Financial Report - February 2026 - Chair Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to approve the February 2026 Financial Report as submitted. Motion carried . 5. Plan Commission Report - none 6. Fire Dept and EMS Updates - none 7. Jefferson County Supervisor or Sheriff’s Dept. Updates - none 8. Announcements and Meeting Updates - Supervisor Christianson attended the LMFD quarterly meeting; Chair Chwala received photos from a resident of damage to (2) culverts on his field property caused by the optic fiber installation crew. 9. Public Comment (limited to 3 minutes per person) 10. Business - business items are matters of discussion and possible action a. Public Hearing: to place underground conduit, handholes, pedestals, and associated infrastructure in the road right of way on Ann St, Lee St, Harold St, Bradley Ct, and Wollin Rd. - Opened at 7:08pm, Closed at 7:18pm, two residents in attendance with questions; Frontier Communications, LLC was absent. One resident was given contact info on request to follow up with Frontier Communications, LLC with questions. b. To approve the application and permit for work in the town right of way submitted by Frontier Communications, LLC - Chair Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to approve the application and permit for work in the town right of way submitted by Frontier Communications, LLC. Motion carried. c. To approve an Operator's License submitted by EmmaJo Lynn Topel - Supervisor Dunneisen moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to approve the operator’s license application submitted by EmmaJo Lynn Topel. Motion carried. d. To repair or remove the oil burner in Town Shop - Clerk Pitzner is to request information from insurance company regarding volunteers working on town owned property e. Review Driveway and Culvert Ordinance 01-2026 - Chair Chwala moved, Supervisor Dunneisen seconded the motion to approve the Driveway and Culvert Ordinance 01-2026. Motion carried. f. Review Recycling Ordinance 02-2026 - Chair Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to approve the Recycling Ordinance 02-2026. Motion carried. g. Review Alcohol Control Ordinance 03-2026 - make suggested changes; review at next meeting h. Review Designating Town Clerk to Issue Operator’s Licenses Ordinance 04-2026 - incorporate into Alcohol Control Ordinance 03-2026 11. Possible Future Agenda Items - shop roof repair, road work plan from Cedar Corp, 2026 brush drop off schedule 12. Payment of Bills - Chair Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to pay bills. Motion carried. 13.
