TOWN OF AZTALANTOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTESOCTOBER 25, 2022 1. Call Meeting to Order:Chairperson Chwala called theboard meeting to order at 6:05pm.Present: Chairperson Jeremy Chwala, Supervisor Larry Christianson, Supervisor John DrakeAlso present: Kathleen Pitzner, ClerkAbsent: Karen Mundt, TreasurerThis meeting was held at Aztalan Town Hall located at W6260 County Rd B, Jefferson WI 53549. 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Proof of Posting and Notice:Clerk Pitzner stated that on October 23, 2022 the agenda was posted to the Town of Aztalan websiteand the three posting boxes located at the Aztalan Town Hall; Ann Street, Lake Mills; and River Hill Dr,Johnson Creek. 4. Business -business items are matters of discussionand possible actionChairman Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to amend the agenda to movebusiness item a. to follow item c. Motion carried. a. Full time employee posting -Chairman Chwala moved,Supervisor Christianson seconded themotion to have a job posting published in newspaper for Full/Part Time employee; pay to bebased on qualification and experience. Motion carried. b. Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted by roll call vote, the Town Board will conveneinto closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(e) Deliberating ornegotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conductingother specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closedsession, specifically concerning Fire and EMS negotiations/contracts.Supervisor Christianson moved, Supervisor Drake seconded the motion to enter into closedsession by a Roll Call vote: Jeremy Chwala - Yes, Larry Christianson - Yes, John Drake - Yes c. Following the closed session, the Town Board will reconvene into open session and may furtherdiscuss and take action on matters discussed in closed session. -There was discussion betweenBoard members and JC Village Administrator John Swisher. John informed the Board that FireBudget Contributions could actually be less in 2023 for all municipalities in contract with JCFDthan originally estimated due to the 2023 insurance for JC being lower than they initiallybudgeted. d. Glatfelter Public Entities (GPE) renewal questionnaire -Chairman Chwala moved, SupervisorDrake seconded the motion to approve the renewal questionnaire as completed. Motioncarried. 5. AdjournmentChairman Chwala moved, Supervisor Drake seconded the motion to adjourn the October 25, 2022meeting at 8:52p,. Motion carried.
