TOWN OF AZTALAN TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES JULY 6, 2022 1. Call Meeting to Order:Chairperson Chwala called theboard meeting to order at 7:02.Present: Chairperson Jeremy Chwala, Supervisor Larry Christianson, Supervisor John DrakeAlso present: Treasurer Karen Mundt, and Clerk Kathleen Pitzner.This meeting was held at Aztalan Town Hall located at W6260 County Rd B, Jefferson WI 53549. 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Proof of Posting and Notice:On July 3, 2022 this agenda was posted to the Town of Aztalan website and the three postingboxes located at the Aztalan Town Hall; Ann Street, Lake Mill;, and River Hill Dr, Johnson Creek. 4. Approval of Minutes - June 27, 2022 & June 30, 2022Supervisor Drake moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to approve the June 27 &June 30 minutes as written. Motion carried. 5. Treasurer’s Report - Approve Junee 2022 Financial Report -Supervisor Drake moved, SupervisorChristianson seconded the motion to approve as written. Motion carried. 6. Plan Commission Report -none7. Jefferson County Report -none8. LM EMS Report -none9. Reports and Meeting Updates from Board 10. Public Comment on agenda items only (limited to 3 minutes per person) 11. Businessa. Discussion and possible action on Aztalan town roads -Chairman Chwala moved,Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to contact Fahrner to crack fillMansfield Rd for $14,000. Motion carried. b. Discussion and possible action on updates and/or revisions to the AztalanEmployee Handbook -None c. Discussion and possible action on the Town brush/compost site availability toresidents -Chairman Chwala moved, Supervisor Drakeseconded the motion toaccommodate the brush site with Chairman approval for special circumstances.Motion carried. Note: website has been updated with this information. d. Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted by roll call vote, the Town Boardwill convene into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section19.85(1)(c), for considering employment, promotion, compensation orperformance evaluation data of any public employee over which thegovernmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, specificallyconcerning the Town public works personnel. Chairman Chwala moved, Supervisor Christianson seconded the motion to enterinto closed session by a Roll Call vote: Jeremy Chwala - Yes, Larry Christianson -Yes, John Drake - Yes e. Following the closed session, the Town Board will reconvene into open sessionand may further discuss and take action on matters discussed in closed session.No action taken f. Discussion and possible action on Fire Protection and EMS services -ChairmanChwala requested to move this agenda item to last agenda item; No objectionNotes: Chairman Chwala will talk with Chief Wegner again and Supervisor Drakewill talk with Brad Calder to discuss possible territory boundaries. Boardmembers agree that the Town would be best serviced by all three area Fire andEMS services. 12. Possible Future Agenda Items -garbage contract 13.
