26-049 Resolution approving a budget amendment for state aids and contingency

City of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin Presented: July 21, 2026 Adopted: July 21, 2026 Resolution No.: 26/049 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on Monday, July 6th, 2026, the Finance Committee met to consider a budget amendment to decrease state aid road allotment due to final estimates provided by the state being less than budgeted; and WHEREAS, the contingency expenditure account needs to be reduced by $45,000; and WHEREAS, the budget amendment for 2026 is as indicated below; and Decrease State Aid - Road Allotment Revenue Acct # 10004300 435310 $45,000 Decrease Contingency Acct # 10016000 581200 $45,000 WHEREAS, after careful review and consideration, the Finance Committee moved to recommend approval of the budget amendment for state aids and contingency in the amount of $45,000 within the General Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Sun Prairie, Dane County, Wisconsin, hereby approves a budget amendment for $45,000 for the loss of state aids and the necessary decrease needed in the contingency line item of the general fund.
