Monona, WI, 53716
Dear Ms. Covarrubias:
This letter is to inform you that pursuant to section 125.12(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the City
of Monona intends to not renew your “Class B” Liquor and Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage
licenses for the 2026/2027 licensing year. The reason for the decision is failure to provide the
required documentation for liquor licensing pursuant to Monona City Ordinance 272-8 (G).
If you so desire, you may request a hearing concerning this matter before the License Review
Committee at its next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in
the City Hall Large Conference Room, 5211 Schluter Road, Monona, Wisconsin. At such a
hearing you may present evidence and testimony as to why your licenses should be renewed.
You may request the hearing by contacting me at (608) 222-2525 on or before July 6, 2026.
The City Council will make a final determination regarding the renewal of your licenses on
Monday, July 20, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Monona Public Library at 1000 Nichols Road,
Monona, WI, 53716
