Appearances
Cara Erickson, Executive Director for Friends of San Damiano, appeared before the Council.
She spoke regarding the use of the house at San Damiano. Currently, use of the house is limited
to 10 calendar days per month/4 hours per day. This is where the office is located and the
allowed hours are not conducive to their needs. Erickson did acknowledge that the building is
not up to code currently. Friends of San Damiano would like use of the office space seasonally
(not winter) for board meetings, event preparations, and coordination of events to build a
successful business. Her preference would be full months (excluding winter). Attorney Cole
stated that due to not meeting building codes and safety concerns the house should not be used
as a base.
