ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Present: Chairman Porter, Board Members Timm, Woznicki, Witt, & Johnson. Also, City Engineer Poulo s and Hwy. Superintendent Schlueter. Alderman Hasan j oined at 6:16pm. Board Member Skowronski was excused. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM FEBRUARY 10, 2026 MEETING Motion made by Board Member Johnson and Seconded by Board Member Woznicki to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2026 Board of Public Works meeting as presented. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT Public Comment opened at 6:02 p.m. and closed at 6:03 p.m. STATUS OF SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PLOT GRANT FOR DREXEL AVENUE ROAD PROJECT Discussion of award of the Surface Transportation Plot grant and potential timeline for Drexel Avenue Road Project. Discussion only. BID REJECTION FOR DREXEL AVENUE ROAD PROJECT Bid rejection for Drexel Avenue Road Project due to award of the Surface Transportation Plot grant. Discussion only. RECONSTRUCTION OF SOUTH 51ST ST FROM DREXEL AVENUE TO RAWSON AVE Reconstruction of 51 st St from Rawson Ave to Drexel Ave as an optional road for 2026 Local Road Program due to Drexel Avenue reconstruction receiving a grant for a future year. Discussion only. EMERGENCY AUTHORIZATION TO CONTRACT TO REPLACE THE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SERVER ROOM AND DISPATCH CENTER IN LIEU OF THE PUBLIC BID PROCESS A recent change in the state statute no longer requires this item to be voted on as it falls within the limits of the new state statute. Discussion only. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS No items at this time.
